Member Mentions:
Type the “@” sign immediately followed by the member’s screenname.
When you see it on the dropdown list, select it and it will turn blue.
This sends a notification to the mentioned member.
Trending # Topics:
Hashtagging topics or keywords, such as cancer type, surgery type, drug etc, will help to make searching better. When you type the # symbol a list of hashtags will come up and you can choose one or write your own. Examples are #Folfox #DIEP #prostatecancer
Starting a new Topic:
From a Forum or Group topic list, click on the yellow “Add Topic” button. This will bring up a text box.
Create a subject line that describes your question or concern.
In the text box, add your information and then select the yellow “Post” button.
Uploading a Photo:
- Profile Photo – Go to Dashboard > Edit Profile. Upload Photo or Change Profile Photo.
Click Open. You may or may not want to click off “share in the gallery”.
Give the photo a title (required)
Click on the Update button.
- In a forum or group discussion:
Click on the landscape photo icon (to the right of the smiling emoji),
Click on Upload.
Click on Choose File
Find the photo in your files you want to upload.
Click Open
Click Ok
Linking to another part of the site or external site:
Once you have copied the URL (website address):
- To link from within the text box (forum or group):
Paste the link into the URL field.
Type a description of the link in the Display text field.
Press OK
*You can also copy and paste the link directly into the post to show the full URL
- To link within a profile comment:
From within the text box of the profile:
Click on the link icon (4th icon from the right) or press Ctrl K
Paste the link into the URL field.
Sending a private message to a member:
- From the member’s profile:
Enter a subject line, type the message, and Click on the yellow Send button.
- From your own message inbox
Click on Compose.
Click on “Click to select recipients” button.
Start typing in the member’s screenname.
When you see it in the list, click on the sign beside their name.
If sending to more than one member, continue this step for each one.
Enter a subject line, type the message, and Click on the yellow Send button.
