New and improved - and back on line!

Welcome to the new and improved CancerConnection.ca! This online community is a place where you can share experiences and build relationships to help yourself and others through the cancer journey.

At the moment I feel a bit like we are in a construction zone – sort of how it feels when you get renovations done. It always takes longer than you expect, there are many loose ends to tie up, and occasionally something even gets broken or lost! While you are making such a big change you sometimes ask yourself "WHY" and, occasionally, you even question your sanity. And in the end, after the last paint drip is wiped up and the hammer gets put away, you have something much better, more functional and easier to use. That's when you stand back to admire your “reno” and you realize that the benefits far outweighed the frustrations – short-term pain for long-term gain.

So, right now, the community is still a bit of a construction zone. I imagine it's going to take time for all of us to learn where everything is now. There will be little things that were missed during our reno. With good communication, patience – and sometimes taking a deep breath – we can make the transition to our new and improved community a success together. So, let me know when you find a glitch and we’ll get it fixed.

CancerConnection.ca thrives on your participation. As a member in the community I encourage you to stay involved, start discussions and respond to what others have written. Please add pictures, start a personal journal and seek new friends. And a friendly reminder – only post information that you are comfortable with others seeing and knowing about you.

Want to help us get back in gear? Why not start a new thread in Discussions or find a post that has gone unanswered and reply to it.

Check back here, in the CCS Newsfeed, to learn more about the new site features and what is happening in the community. I will post updates every few days. In the meantime, if you have questions or comments about the new site, please post them in the Your feedback about community discussion.
