Let's discuss the top 10 ways to relieve tension

We recently asked our online communities to share the different activities they do to help them feel better. Many community members mentioned yoga and other types of exercise as good ways to relieve tension.
Here are the top ten responses we received for relieving tension:
  1. Yoga
  2. Walking
  3. Swimming
  4. Deep belly breathing/meditation
  5. Reading
  6. Writing
  7. Knitting/crafts
  8. Spending time with loved ones/pets
  9. Having a good cry
  10. Laughing/humour

On December 9, CancerConnection.ca will be hosting a webcast on the topic How understanding your brain can empower your life. Oncologist Dr. Rob Rutledge will be discussing different ways to help people cope with cancer, such as calming yourself in stressful situations and reframing distressing thoughts and emotions.
