BRA ( Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day -online virtual event

BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day promotes education, awareness and access for women considering post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.
 

As the COVID-19 pandemic shapes the way we interact, BRA Day 2020 will be transformed into a nationwide virtual event.  October 21st at 7 pm EDT (Note: This will be an English-only event.)

Although the event will not be in person this year, attendees will still be able to take part in all the features that have made BRA Day so memorable in the past.

Event organizers at Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers, in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society and supported by the Canadian Society for Plastic Surgeons, will host BRA Day with the goal of empowering women to make an informed decision about whether breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery is right for them.

What to expect

• presentations from leading breast reconstruction surgeons and women who have had reconstruction
• education breakout rooms with panel discussions covering the most popular subjects on breast reconstruction
• Show and Tell Lounge, where women can see the real-life results of breast reconstruction and of mastectomy without reconstruction and chat with those who have been through it
