What are the CEA levels for people who are cancer-free or in remission? And do people w/ stage IV cancer that is stable have CEA levels above normal? I understand that a normal CEA level for someone without cancer is 2.5 and below.

Most healthy people have CEA levels below the 2.5 ng/ml. CEA levels generally return to normal between one and four months after a cancer has been successfully removed.
