Intussusception

Intussusception

Posted by Brit_in_Canada on Jul 31, 2020 8:30 pm

Hi,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience of Intussusception. I have been told this is what is causing my stomach issues (Pain in abdomen, large stools, diarrhea and constipation) for the last 6 - 8 weeks. Alongside these symptoms, I have back pain, nausea, weight loss (5-6lb - 160lb) and possible swollen Lymph Nodes (doctors said I'm just skinny and so can feel them easier)

Having done a little research Intussusception is very rare in adults and 95% of the time is caused by a secondary condition.

If anyone has any experience it would be greatly appreciated.

Brit_in_Canada‍ Hello
Welcome to our site.....Please allow me to say SORRY, as I have not heard of this.  I did google it, so I am now aware, and have learned a bit.
I am sorry for your pain and discomfort.  I would hope and assume, that a specialized Gastro Intestinal Dr will be familiar with this, and can help you.
Your family Dr can refer you...the quicker the better to halt this pain.
Wishing you strength!

Regards
Whitelilies
