when i was told of the side effects i was never told that i will live with a dry throat or the rest of my life also my hearing is going away did this happen to you let me no
its been five month can some one tell me why my hearing is getting bad i have head and neck cancer thanks

lordznoide‍ , I’m going to tag JamesT‍ Into this discussion, as he has had ENT type of cancer.

I worked with a man who had radiation for throat cancer, and they told him that they’d had to remove some saliva glands (or that the radiation destroyed them), and that he would have to sip water for a long time to come. I remember him keeping a water bottle with him all the time after he came back to work.

I would suspect that some of your symptoms will depend on where exactly the radiation therapy was applied — a tiny shift in where you were treated compared to someone else could make a huge difference in what gets affected, especially in the ear, nose or throat area.

Have you thought about reaching out to your oncologist or radiologist?
