Lovenox injection blood thinners - so painful!! Anyone else experience this?

Anyone else experience A LOT of pain after injecting Lovenox (injection blood thinner)? I was prescribed it for a month following my colon resection surgery and the injections don’t hurt at all during but then about a minute after, they hurt so much for about 3-5 minutes then feels like nothing. But that few minutes I’m breathing through the pain. The first few days after surgery, the injections were totally fine and this only started about a week into them. I called the pharmacist and he said it sounds like I’m doing everything right and storing it correctly.... he said I could put ice on it for a minute but it might slow the absorption and I don’t want to do anything that would make them less effective. 

I’ve got 16 more of them and probably nothing that I can do about it but just wondering if anyone else experienced this or if it’s just me!
