Does anyone know if its ok to take medication for a yeast infection when on chemo

I would call and ask prior to taking any medication. In Alberta they have a triage telephone line that is available 7 days a week to answer those types of questions. Not sure what other areas have available.

Even in Toronto we have 24/7 number to call to answer those questions , we can not take meds because it might have conflict with our chemo meds. So please try to reach your triage nurse before taking any pills for your own safety.

Hi everyone thanks so much for you reply’s I went to chemo today and they said it would be fine to take Monostat

Hi Bev,

Yes, my GP told me not to take pills, but ovules are fine.  So I am on Monistat now, too, for a yeast infection.  

I will be 58 this month, and never thought I would see the day when I had to buy pads again.  Yikes.  Brings back so many memories  . .
