New to the cancer world
1 Posts

I've have lost friends and family members to cancer, but never really thought it could happen to me.

I live on a small farm in sw Ontario with my soul mate and numerous rare breed animals that we raise here. I guess it's only fitting that I end up with a very rare and deadly cancer. I was only just diagnosed in October and might already be dead and gone if it weren't for a very risky life-saving emergency surgery, just 3 ½ weeks ago. I had an excellent team at LHSC and the nursing staff on the Gyne ward were phenomenal!

I have been given a gift of more days here on earth.

I start chemo soon and I'm in the fight till the bitter end. How long that will be, is still a mystery.

God Bless everyone effected by this terrible disease. My faith in Jesus Christ is carrying me through. My strength comes from the Lord!

So that's where I'm at…

And I am curious about what types of rare breed animals you help?
