Maybe lung cancer? I’m new

Maybe lung cancer? I’m new

Posted by Bar on Jul 20, 2020 3:16 pm

Hello, I’m a 55 year old woman. Just had a ct scan with enhancement. They found swollen nodes in my neck, in my chest  in the paratracheal and and pretracheal. Superior enlarged mediastinal nodes and a solid triangle density in left lung . I also have fatigue and dizziness , low back pain and in between my shoulder blades. Severe dry cough. Can anyone help me with this? I’m desperate and scared.

Bar‍  Welcome.  Wherever  you live, your primary health care provider or family doctor should refer you to a cancer clinic or to a specialist.  It is not normal for the patient to have to set anything up. I think the first thing to do is to talk to your family doctor.

Hi, I live in Alberta, Canada. It’s very hard to even find a family doctor who cares here! One doctor told me my urine test was fine, when I got the paperwork it showed RBC in my urine , abnormal. He did nothing cause he never followed up. I’m just sooo tired trying to get help with anyone

Bar‍  If you have access to  a walk in clinic, go and see if you can get a referral.  Or can you get your ENT to refer you to a cancer clinic. I am so sorry but from what you have said you will have to advocate for your health. You need to get into a cancer clinic or to see a specialist.  I am not sure why your ENT has abandoned you. You might ask what's going on.

Bar‍

Welcome to the community.. It sounds like you definitely have some health concerns. Have you been given a cancer diagnosis? Your subject line questions lung cancer and you profile says cancer of unknown primary.
We are not doctors here and cannot offer medical advice.  Are you in touch with your GP or whoever ordered the CT scan? Who is it that gave you these CT results and were next steps discussed?  Have you received a referral to a specialist or more tests?

Lianne, my ENT ordered the ct scan cause I have a 3 cm enlarged node under ear and along the jawline. But when I got the results it showed the other stuff. ENT said he can’t help me he said to see a specialist I never got a referral from him I emailed him asking why not, I’m ready to give up
