Retirement Blues

Retirement Blues

I've been retired since Sept 11, 2018 and it's been a roller coaster ride ever since.  It's not sitting well with me.  I keep wanting to go do my job and I'm devastated that I'm actually retired.  I can't believe I acted so hastily.  I'm worried about my future.  I could have stayed at my job for another 5 years at least.  I'm 64 and feel too young to retire.  I still have lots of get up and go in me.  I wish I had made a different decision on Sept. 11.  Looking back I see I was extremely depressed.  How can you make an important decision like retiring when you are depressed?

scaredysquirrel‍, you having a depression problem is a reason perhaps to not rush back to work...maybe it's time to think about dealing with the depression problem with therapy or some other treatment...there are reasons for everything that happens, I think...
