I had a bilateral mastectomy with 4 lymph nodes removed Jan 31, 2012. I now awit the first oncologist visit in a week to see how they will proceed: sounds like radiation And/or more surgery as cancer is in my lymph & blood. My questions are: is it common to have swelling still after 17 days when tissue expanders were inserted under chest muscle ( mainly in cancerous breast)? I can't wait to return to normal upper body activities ( it's been 20 days of 5-7 lb lifting only!! :) ). I await Mentor silicone breast implants. Anyone else had these? Any comments or suggestions for me?
