I too has a mastectomy and reconstrution 10 years ago and would not have done it any other way. As Maggie said it is not perfection but it is a far cry from the mastectomy scars .

Dont be too hard on yourself and it really is ok to get all winded , have a panic attack and experience a flood of tears while attempting to have a conversation. Allow yourself to express these emotions and once you allow yourself to do this you will then move on to the I WILL BEAT THIS !!! I am a 10 year survivor and proof that it can be beaten !!!

Hi!
I am a 10 year Breast Cancer Survivor. No family history, so to say I was a little shocked with this diagnosis would be an understatement!
My treatment was a mastectomy, followed by 6 months of aggressive chemotherapy. With the support of a loving husband and 2 incredible daughters we are now on the other side of cancer. I have been given second chance and have a new appreciation for life.

My daily prayer:
Help me live each day quietly & easily
To meet others peacefully & joyfully
To face tomorrow confidently & courageously.

Lets make Cancer history !
